How to stop Albert auto-debits

Self-help fill-in form. Not legal advice. This only helps you stop automatic withdrawals — it does not erase or cancel what you owe.

In Albert's own words

"We offer Instant Advance on a non-recourse basis. Consequently, we warrant to you that we have no contractual or legal claim against you for outstanding Instant Advance balances"

Albert terms, Albert Instant Advance · Read the live terms · Checked 2026-10-14 · ✓ verified on the live page

Heads up: Applies only to Albert Instant Advance. Albert's Instant Loan and FinWise Bank Instant Line of Credit are loans you must repay; they can be sent to collections and reported to credit bureaus. Check the app (Borrow → Instant) to see which you have. Albert may still pull from your other Albert accounts or other linked bank accounts unless you unlink them.

How to send it

  1. Email it to support@albert.com from the email on your Albert account.
  2. Turn off Smart Money, then email support@albert.com or text 639-37. Also tell your bank. Unlink other bank accounts if you don't want Albert pulling from them.
  3. Send the bank letter too, so your bank blocks future debits from Albert.
  4. Keep a copy and the date you sent it.

⏰ Notice period: At least 3 banking days before the next debit. Debits already scheduled or processing may still go through.

After revoking: Advances suspended 30-90+ days depending on lateness.

Make my Albert stop letter

Not legal advice, and not debt relief or credit repair. Stopping auto-debits doesn't cancel what you owe.
